You can choose to embark on the approximately 6-kilometer Dove Lake Circuit, a picturesque loop trail that allows you to immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of the surroundings. Alternatively, if you prefer a more relaxed experience, take a leisurely stroll to the shores of Dove Lake, where you can sit back, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and soak in the panoramic vista of Cradle Mountain.

The ascent to this vantage point is demanding but rewards you with spectacular panoramic views from the summit, allowing you to appreciate the vastness of the surrounding wilderness. Alternatively, if you prefer a more leisurely hike, the Enchanted Walk awaits, leading you through lush rainforests teeming with unique flora. This enchanting trail provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature, with gentle streams and vibrant greenery adorning the path.

During your exploration of Cradle Mountain, we can visit the historic Waldheim Chalet, a mountain retreat that dates back to the early 1900s. Learn about the pioneering settlers, Gustav and Kate Weindorfer, whose passion for this area played a significant role in its establishment as a national park. As you wander through the chalet and its gardens, gain further insight into the rich history and appreciate the efforts made to preserve this natural wonder.

To deepen your understanding of the region's flora, fauna, and geological features, a visit to the Interpretation Centre is a must. Watch as they go about their daily activities, providing you with an unforgettable wildlife encounter.

To replenish your energy, take a well-deserved break at the local tavern, where you can savor delicious refreshments while relishing the stories and memories created during your journey through Cradle Mountain.
