An excellent value day tour awaits, giving you plenty of time to experience the stunning beauty of Cradle Mountain. Designed for self-guided explorers, this tour allows you to make the most of your visit and immerse yourself in Tasmania’s iconic wilderness.

If your preferred date isn’t showing, simply contact us, and we’ll arrange everything.

Your journey begins with a convenient pick-up from your Launceston accommodation, taking you straight to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. Here, you can grab a coffee, purchase your National Park Pass, and receive valuable insights from the rangers about the best spots to visit.

From the Visitor Centre, hop on the Cradle Mountain Shuttle, a free hop-on, hop-off service that transports you around the park. Once inside the park, explore the trails at your own pace, with options ranging from the easy Dove Lake Circuit to more challenging hikes. We provide a map for you to borrow, ensuring you don’t miss a thing.

As you wander the trails, keep your eyes open for wildlife – wombats, wallabies, and even the elusive platypus. The Ronny Creek area is especially popular for wombat spotting, and you may also encounter Tasmanian devils and rare bird species.

For photography lovers, Cradle Mountain offers endless opportunities to capture rugged mountain peaks, serene lakes, and the vibrant colors of native flora and fauna. If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a kayak to glide across Dove Lake or Crater Lake, experiencing the peaceful waters and stunning scenery from a new perspective.

To enhance your visit, you can stop by the Devils@Cradle wildlife sanctuary to learn about Tasmania's unique animals and conservation efforts. If you're looking for a thrill, scenic flights over the area offer breathtaking aerial views of Cradle Mountain's majestic peaks and glacial lakes.

Finally, for those interested in the park’s history and natural wonders, a visit to the Waldheim Chalet or Cradle Mountain’s interpretive centers will provide deeper insights into the geology, wildlife, and history of the area.

Please note other passengers on our bus to Cradle Mountain will be doing the Overland Track and not part of the tour.
