Your journey to Cradle Mountain begins with an early morning departure, giving you plenty of time to explore the stunning park on your own. Upon arrival at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, you’ll purchase your National Park pass before hopping on a short shuttle to Dove Lake, one of the most iconic destinations in the park.

At Dove Lake, you can set off on the 6-kilometer loop of the Dove Lake Circuit, where breathtaking views of Cradle Mountain unfold as you walk. This hike allows you to fully immerse yourself in the serene natural surroundings, capturing photos of the mountains, lakes, and wildlife along the way.

If time allows, there are shorter walks nearby. The Enchanted Walk is a quick 20-minute rainforest stroll, and the walk to Pencil Pine Falls and Knyvet Falls offers a beautiful hour-long trip to two scenic waterfalls.

During your visit, you can also stop by the Tasmanian Devil Centre, learning about conservation efforts for this unique species. The historic Waldheim Chalet offers a glimpse into the life of conservationist Gustav Weindorfer, and the Interpretation Centre provides valuable information on the park’s natural and cultural heritage.

After a day of exploring, we’ll meet you back at the Visitor Centre for your return journey to Sheffield, completing a memorable day in one of Tasmania’s most beautiful and iconic national parks.
